Get Involved
The Olympia Seed Exchange always needs volunteers. Check out our calendar for the date of the next work party or send us an email (volunteer@olympiaseedexchange.org) for more info.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Saturday work parties at our farm
- Assisting at workshops and other community events
- Photography
- Staffing the Exchange during seasonal open hours
- Building projects (such as crop isolation cages and seed threshing trays)
- Writing educational articles for our upcoming blog, the “Root and Radicle”
- Become a seed steward and grow seeds for the community on your own land (email farm@olympiaseedexchange.org for more details on this wonderful way to contribute to community food sovereignty!)
Other Ways to Support OSE:
- Add a link to our website from your own website or blog
- Become our fan on Facebook.
- Donate to support workshops, demonstration gardens, and the Exchange
- Donate your extra seeds to be redistributed within the community.
We offer workshops all year round on seed saving in collaboration with the Olympia Food Co-op www.olympiafood.coop and Garden raised Bounty www.goodgrub.org.
